Editorial policy
Bright Leisure Journal aims to make its writing clear, useful and honest about what is known. Our coverage is planned for general readers and does not promise that one approach to leisure suits everyone.
Accuracy and sourcing
We check factual statements against suitable sources before publication and take care not to present guesses as established facts. When an article describes a preference or interpretation, we make that distinction clear. We do not invent quotations, people, events or evidence.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are kept distinct from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored article, paid placement or partner contribution is clearly labelled so readers can tell what it is. A partnership does not guarantee favourable editorial coverage, and editorial articles are not presented as independent when they are paid material.
Corrections
If a reader spots an error, they can contact us with the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update published wording when warranted, making material changes clear to readers where appropriate.
Images and illustrations
Images are chosen to suit the subject and are not evidence for claims in an article. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, they are identified as illustrations rather than documentary images.
Free time is worth choosing
Leisure need not become another project to manage. A good choice fits the day at hand and leaves space for the pleasure of doing it.
